SKILLS
    I have over 2 years C++ programming experience as well as experience in C, C#, x86 Assembly, JAVA, XML, and UML. I have experience with many different softwares including: Visual Studios, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Maya, SVN, Alienbrain and Unreal Editor. I also have experience with both OpenGL and DirectX. I am strong in 3D Math and other advanced Math including Linear Algebra. I also am experienced using Data Structures, STL, algorithms, Design patterns, Interface Design and Tools Production, Sound Production, Writing/Documentation, and both High and Low game design.

· Working on multiple games at once

· Architect and code everything in the games from states and class structure to gameplay and scoring.

· Working closely with artist to improve effects and polish within the games

· Designed wrote universal winner and game over screens used in all games

· Fixing bugs in older game code base

· Worked on several hardware and software audio projects


PROJECTS
   Triple Crown Boxing (Merit Entertainment) This was my first major project at Merit. I came into the project after the single player version was complete and most of the networking for the multiplayer was completed. My main responsibilities were to finish the networking as well as polishing the final product. During this project I also worked closely with QA to fix all of the remaining bugs in all versions of the game. To see more details in the projects section.

   Smashout (Student Game) I was project lead on a five man team for my final project. During this project I handled a number of managerial tasks from team meetings, to documentation and scheduling. I also coded a number of modules on the game including, sound, profiles and an effects manager. To see more details in the projects section.


  Overload: A Coding Nightmare. (Student Game) I was project lead on this two month five man group project. My responsibilities included: documentation, scheduling, an animation engine and editor, version control, audio, AI, Mini-Games and team management. Tanks In Space. 
(Student Game) I was the designer and programmer on this two week long 2d top down shooter. As my first real game I did all of the work from gathering assets to coding and design. Highlights were the audio and game play. Read more in the projects section.

EDUCATION

Bachelor of Science Degree in Game Development               June 2008 

Full Sail simulates the real world work experience by having classes 40+hrs a week and by having multiple group projects. Classes focused on problem solving in C++ and C# as well as other game development essentials.



ADDITIONAL INFO

   In High School I was a leader in the community and was involved in a county wide youth board. I have written for, and moderate the forms for gamecareerguide.com and been an active member of the game development community. During the 2008-2009 Game Developer Conference I was a conference associate. I also have over 8 years of show production experience, and have played rugby for 4 years.
